Frequently Asked Questions
Are the Segways hard to ride?
No. Segways/Ninebots are easy and fun to ride.
You will learn how to operate a Segway/Ninebot then spend 10-15 minutes practicing around a mini obstacle course with different tests of maneuverability in Wascana Marina parking lot before the tour begins.
The tour guide will make sure you feel comfortable riding and will be with you for the entire tour.
Is there any safety equipment I need to bring with me?
All you need to bring is a pair of closed toe/flat shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and a camera.
RRR Tours provides CSA approved helmets. Additional safety equipment, such as elbow pads, knee pads, or wrist guards, is not necessary but you are welcome to bring your own.
The tour guide will be happy to safely store any extra personal belongings or carry extra items in their handlebar bag for you.
Can I rent a Segway/Ninebot to ride alone?
No. Segway/Ninebots must always have a tour guide accompanying customers.
In Canada, Segways and Ninebots fall under the ATV act, which means they are an unlicensed motor vehicle and cannot be used on public roadways or sidewalks.
RRR Tours has been given a special permit to operate these devices in Wascana Centre only!
